Biography
With a passion for not only putting colour to canvas but also listening and focusing on one's needs, Wayne Lawson has been combining both aspects into his artwork since 2001. Born and raised in Toronto and now based in Vancouver, BC, Wayne is self-taught and highly motivated by colour and imagination.
Creating individual pieces for specific needs is a challenge welcomed by Wayne. From a “story to canvas” style, Wayne Lawson has paintings displayed in Canada, Australia, United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Personal Statement
My goal is to listen to people and provide a painting that inspires joy. Finding out what a person is looking for in a painting, then transforming their ideas into a work that one truly loves, is a challenge. That is my motivation and my commitment.

The Studio
With all good ideas, the decision to move into a “proper” studio was discussed over wine and laughs. Shortly thereafter, a location found in the Mount Pleasant district of Vancouver, BC. Establishment Arts Studio was founded by Lynn Chaulk and Wayne Lawson in January of 2012. Shortly afterwards they were joined by Heather Douglas. To this day it has been our creative hangout, home base and home away from home.
